Gate Security Attendant
The following is a list of the Responsibilities to be performed by the employee on behalf of the Company:
- Stop and check all vehicles entering the campus for identification and reason for requiring entry.
- Announce, via radio, the arrival of any contractor or vendor coming into the facility, who they are and where they are going.
- During emergencies, expedite the entry of emergency services and direct them where to go.
- Maintain a visitor log for incoming/outgoing traffic
- Maintain a turnover log for visitor complaints, feedback, and documentation of any suspected abuse of GC property. Report these issues up your chain of command so that they can be properly and immediately addressed.
- Maintain a safe, secure, organized, and clean work area.
- Report to and follow the directions given to you by your chain of command.
- When not in use, keep the entry/exit gates closed.
- Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas, OSHA Standards, and company policy relating to personal, equipment, and workplace safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
Front Desk Responsibilities:
- This position will greet all personnel/visitors who enter the building 101 entrance and determine what kind of access they need to the site and main building.
- Once greeted, staff should call the appropriate GC representative to meet up with the visitor. Visitors are not allowed to walk through the campus freely.
- Staff should ensure that they have contacted the appropriate representative promptly.
- The interior guards will always professionally present themselves.
- Staff is required to wear their Guardian Centers green polo shirt, pants, and close-toe shoes (sneakers or boots), or business dress when required.
- Interior security will speak clearly and politely when addressing any individual.
- At no time will you raise your voice or use profanity.
Skills/Abilities:
- Read, understand, and follow safety/operations policy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, outstanding customer service interaction
- Ability to keep training or client information confidential
- Knowledge and experience with security operations preferred
Requirements
- Must be able to pass and maintain compliance for the Respirator Fit Test.
- Must be able to work at heights and with appropriate safety gear.
- Obtain a valid Georgia driver’s license
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times; bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Pass pre-employment and recurring drug screening.
- Complete a pre-employment background check
- Ability to hold a security clearance, as required.
