Equity Staffing Group is hiring for a Junior Application Security Engineer with a well established client in the food industry. The Junior Application Security Engineer will primarily focus on onboarding security tooling, maintaining documentation, and supporting developers in integrating security into the development process.
Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Application Security Engineer to join our global application security team. In this entry-level role, you will primarily focus on onboarding security tooling, maintaining documentation, and supporting developers in integrating security into the development process. You'll also help partner and manage security exceptions within our SDLC. This role will also focus on other application security related activities that support our strategy and deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in IT, development, DevSecOps, or a related technical role (internship or academic experience will also be considered).
- Experience writing documentation
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding Security Tooling (Checkmarx, SysDig, WiZ, GitGuardian)
- Manage Security Exceptions with SDLC
- Writing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Documentation
- Support Developers and Engineers
- Continuous Improvement
