Fast-growing MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider) is looking for an experienced CAM (Customer Account Manager) to manage a number of key B2B accounts. The successful applicant will focus on ensuring that our customers are happy and being well-served by our team. As Account Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring additional revenue streams from existing clients and meeting monthly and quarterly quotas while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You will have responsibility for growing the business and helping to educate our clients in how they can grow their business. You will report to the Sales Manager and manage up to 25 accounts at any given time. We’re looking for a sales-oriented professional who values productivity and client engagement.
Responsibilities
- Successful onboarding execution
- Meet the company’s client retention goals
- Responsible for risk mitigation for clients
- Assist clients with planning upgrades, projects, budgeting and asset replacement
- Grow your skills to manage both Microsoft Commercial and Government accounts
- Engage with each managed account at least once a month via live contact and follow up with all client action items within one day
- Manage clients’ NPS (Net Promoter Scores)
- Learn and recognize triggers based on customer behavior and engage with customers who wish to change service offerings
- Manage budget and hit or exceed monthly quota as established by Sales Manager
- Get at least 1 referral a month from customers
- Get at least 1 testimonial per month from customers
- Grow account gross revenue by at least 10% per year
- Monthly or quarterly strategic business reviews with all managed accounts
- Help company maintain a targeted gross profit margin of 42% - Best in class

- Manage all KPIs including client retention and growth, attainment of Price and complete solution stack; maintaining consistent MRR; achievement of targets
- All activities tracked and measured in our CRM
- Maintain proficiency in latest Microsoft and security solutions. Required certifications are CMMC RP, Microsoft AZ-900 and MS-900.
Required Skills
- Experience as an account manager in an MSSP (Highly desirable) or an MSP (minimum required)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Knowledge of Microsoft security solutions highly desirable
- Experience in selling software or other high-tech solutions highly desirable
- Proactive planning – no surprises!
- Successful history working with large clients
- Advanced problem resolution skills and communication abilities
- Ability to anticipate customers’ needs and match them with appropriate products and services
- Upselling and cross-selling
- Must be self-motivated and willing to learn
- Experience with Scaling Up or EOS highly desirable
- Must be comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment (change is inevitable)
- Experience with Keap CRM database desirable
Benefits: we pay very competitively. This position is paid as a base salary with a “no cap” commission plan. We pay full cost of health insurance (including dental and vision) and for your Microsoft Training and Certifications.
