Starting wage: $17.89 - $22.36
Gaming Class: Compact/Gaming License Required

Position Summary
The Security Supervisor is the immediate Supervisor to Security Officers and is directly responsible for the effective operation of the department in the absence of the Security Manager. The Security Supervisor will provide and maintain a safe environment for customers, employees, and casino assets and prevent loss of profit due to fire, theft, vandalism, embezzlement, and other forms of crime.
Core Duties And Responsibilities
The Security Supervisor is responsible for the following duties:
- Perform all duties required of a Security Officer.
- Patrol parking lots, monitor main entrance, patrol gaming areas, conduct buildings patrols.
- Provide positive customer and employee interaction.
- Adhere to Security policies and procedures.
- Ensure high standards of performance of Security Officers.
- Issue discipline to personnel on an immediate basis for severe infractions.
- Acknowledge good employee performance.
- Serve as a role model to Security Officers and other employees.
- Attend all Security meetings, communicate with departmental supervisors, and complete reports as needed.
- Pass on information of importance to the Security Manager.
- Be on the casino floor always monitoring the Security Officers.
- Ensure understanding of departmental policies and procedures.
- Establish goals, identify needs for training, provide reference materials as needed, and monitor progress of Security Officers.
- Provide coaching on job related deficiencies.
- Assist in updating policies and procedures as new incidents occur.
- Respond to EMS calls.
- Conduct temperature checks for guests and employees as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

M Inimum Qualifications
Qualifications – Education and Experience:
- The Security Supervisor must have a High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Incumbent must obtain CPR certification within one year of employment.
- Incumbent must become Tips Certified within one year of employment.
- Must have good typing, listening, problem solving, and observation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Security experience.
- Prior Supervisory experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employee s.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with issues which may involve several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to be alert and aware of surroundings at all times.
- Co urteous, team player, reliable, show self-discipline, open-minded, helpful, confident, be a self-starter, flexible, and works well under stress.
- Must remain professional at all times .
- Is respectful, fair, and honest.

The work environment is fast-paced and requires overall good mental and physical health.

Job-specific abilities and requirements include:
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to endure harsh weather conditions.
Ability to drive with a valid driver’s license.
20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses.
Ability to tolerate various scents, noises, and bright lights.
