Clearance Requirements: A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period. Selected applicants will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Key Position Responsibilities:
- Lead systems security engineering efforts responsible for developing network security architecture, selecting network security products, and developing cost estimates to implement solutions.
- Serve as a cybersecurity subject matter expert in performing risk assessments and vulnerability analyses and identify mitigations to reduce risk to properly secure systems.
- Manage identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate security into system architecture and software development processes.
- Provide expertise and leadership to current programs and Internal Research and Development (IR&D) projects being hands-on when needed.
- Develop, maintain and publish network security technical documentation in accordance with Systems Engineering processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Experience with Networking technologies with ability to be hands on (e.g. configure a router).
- Thorough understanding of DNS, DHCP, ARP, TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, and other network protocols, services, and architectures.
- Experience developing network security architectures.
· Familiarity with IT government security standards like ICD 503, NISPOM, NIST, and DIACAP
- In-depth knowledge of cryptographic protocols, network security, and secure coding practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively.
- DoD 8140 Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program Advance IA level II or higher certification.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Must be a self-starter with ability to manage projects on their own with little direction.
- Experience in application and compliance of customer tailored NIST 800.53 and FISMA controls and policies.
- Familiar with DoD Information Systems.
- Have or ability to receive and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
